A Warm Spring Welcome to Diablo Water-ski Club Members,

Just a quick note to say “Thank You” to Bob Dodson and the 2007 Officers and Board members for doing a Super job for the club this past year.

We had a great turnout at the Installation Dinner last month at the Hungry Hunter!
Judy and Don Stanford did a wonderful job in preparing for the event. It was great enjoying and making new friendships and exchanging water-ski stories.

The highlight of the evening was Tom Hearn receiving a special award from Bob Dodson. I’m not sure what the award was called, and what it was?  But Bob crafted a homemade “Fix-A-Ma-Jig Tool” Trophy for all Tom’s hard efforts for the club. We appreciate it very much Tom!
Other New-News discovered at the dinner? Bob Dodson has finally given in to technology and the information super highway!!!!!. Ann gave Bob a brand new “cell-phone” Yes…..Bob is now connected and watching him at dinner navigate it, was something!

I’d like to thank everyone once again for serving the club in officer, board and chairman/chairwoman positions for 2008.

We are always on the “look out” for potential new club members, who enjoy and have a passion for waterskiing and water sports or just “hang’n” on the Delta.  If you know anyone that’s interested in joining, please give me a shout!!
The board is all ears in creativity for attracting new members or developing new ideas!

As far as upcoming events, plan on our annual Spring Potluck, a couple slalom and beach side work parties and just a lot of fun….so please stay tuned.

I look forward to seeing “you’al” at the site this spring, but most of all enjoying the wonderful blessings of friendships that have grown through Diablo Water-ski Club.
